Vitamin D helps to regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body which in turn keeps bones, teeth and muscles healthy. Our main source of vitamin D comes from direct sunlight and can also be found in oily fish, red meat, egg yolks, cereals and some fat spreads. During the winter months when we are not exposed to as much sunlight, it is recommended that supplements are taken as a lack of vitamin D can cause an array of health complications. The test kit contains everything you need to take your finger prick blood test as well as instructions on how to take the sample and a pre-paid returns envelope for you to send your sample to the laboratory for testing. You will receive your results via text message within five working days of posting your sample.
