Profile

Medical Training and Experience

I graduated from Leicester Warwick Medical School in 2008, followed by comprehensive junior doctor training within the Oxford Deanery. My speciality GP training was completed as part of the prestigious Oxford VTS scheme, providing me with exceptional preparation for general practice.

My medical experience encompasses a diverse range of specialities, including:

  • Paediatrics
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Orthopaedics
  • Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
  • Accident & Emergency (A&E)

This broad foundation allows me to provide comprehensive care for patients with varied medical needs throughout Oxford and surrounding areas.

Unique Educational Background

Before pursuing medicine, I built a career in the financial markets, bringing valuable analytical and interpersonal skills to my medical practice. My educational qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology from The University of Oxford (St. Edmund Hall)
  • Postgraduate master's degree in Occupational Psychology from London University (Birkbeck College)

This unique combination of psychological training and medical expertise enables me to offer holistic care that addresses both physical and mental wellbeing, a distinctive approach among Oxford GPs.

Personal Interests

Beyond my medical practice, I maintain a balanced lifestyle through various creative and outdoor pursuits:

  • Artistic endeavours including painting, stone carving and silversmithing
  • Outdoor activities such as skiing and cold water swimming
  • Regular walks with my dog, Spartacus

These personal interests enhance my wellbeing and contribute to my ability to provide empathetic, attentive care to my patients in Oxford.

GP Services in Oxford

As a dedicated GP serving the Oxford community, I offer comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages. My psychological background and diverse medical training allow me to provide well-rounded care that considers both physical symptoms and emotional wellbeing.
